Design Director & Co-Founder Climate Labs
Ahsan is the design director and Co-Founder of Climate Labs, a multidisciplinary design consultancy that focuses on design for sustainability. Currently working with Hackney Council to co-design the 55 Morning Lane project. Also, a design partner on UKRI projects working on a Green Tech / EV / Energy platform for SME’s. Formerly with Power to Change, co-designing the new Climate Action Funding Programme. Working with clients across business, communities and academia – Design Council, Hackney Council, Power to Change, Futerra, PA Consulting, PwC, University of Kingston and Exeter using Design Thinking to drive innovation for social and environmental impact.
Ahsan has been responsible for discovering, strategising and innovating digital products and services for the European finance and energy sector. Supporting and running Design Sprints with a focus on sustainability and behavioural insights for the climate and nature crisis.
With the Design Council, Ahsan was also part of first 100 experts working on the Design for Planet strategy.
He also consults in the third sector for Words of Colour, Culture Heroes and IAAAE focusing on strategic design, creating value through a systems practice approach to understand EDI challenges to benefit marginalised communities.
Ahsan has a BSc Hons in Product Design and MA in Sustainable Design with Distinction.
